seven years later Joy, David O. Russell is finally back. The filmmaker returns with Amsterdam, which is revealed through a trailer suggesting that this new story is partly inspired by real events. This story begins with a meeting during the First World War. Two soldiers, a doctor (Christian Bale) and a lawyer (John David Washington), befriend a nurse (Margot Robbie).
Years later, the trio are accused of murder and do everything possible to get out of a plot to which they find themselves linked in spite of themselves. In addition to the very beautiful scenes concerning the heroes, the first images give hope of a dive into an infernal plot involving many characters, reminiscent american bluff by his humor.
A mind-blowing cast
In their misadventures, the prestigious leading trio will notably be able to count on the help of Robert De Nirowho reunites with David O. Russell after Happiness Therapy, American Bluff and Joy. The mind-boggling cast doesn’t stop there. Rounding out the cast, which is sure to be one of the most impressive of recent years.
