The Writers Guild of America Awards (WGA) determined the nominees for the 2021 films and announced them with an announcement. The list includes films such as “Being the Ricardos”, “Don’t Look Up”, “French Dispatch”, “King Richard” and “Licorice Pizza” in the original screenplay category, while “CODA”, “Dune”, “Nightmare Alley”, “Tick, Tick … Boom!” and “West Side Story” was nominated.
“C’mon C’mon” directed by Mike Mills and “The Tragedy of Macbeth” directed by Joel Coen, which are among the important films of the year, could not find their place among the candidates. On the adapted screenplay side, the major prize contenders that were not found eligible include “Benedetta”, “Cyrano”, “Drive My Car”, “The Lost Daughter”, “Passing”, “The Power of the Dog”, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ” and “Zola” took place.
“Annette”, “Belfast”, “Hand of God”, “A Hero”, “Mass”, “Parallel Mothers”, “Pig”, “Titane” and “Worst Person in the World”, which are the most popular non-American films of the year in the original screenplay category. “It’s unlisted.
