The next morning, even more terrifying events come to light. Someone took out the dead man’s heart. The detective Augustus Landor, who was famous in New York at the time, is called to investigate. The murder is an event that Landor must secretly investigate, as the scandal is at the level of irreversible damage to the academy. The detective gets help from an unexpected person: a melancholic, drinking-oriented young student comes to the detective’s name with a poem consisting of two stanzas. Landor will make an unforgettable impression on Edgar Allen Poe, this strange young poet from the South.
