The series on Ahsoka Tano, still played by Rosario Dawson, quietly continues its production. The Star Wars series will welcome one of the actresses from “Birds of Prey” in an as yet unknown role.
A series centered on Ahsoka Tano
By launching in 2019 The Mandalorian, Disney+ has found a good base to develop the Star Wars universe on the platform. The series was a success, logically renewed for a season 2 the following year. During the 16 episodes broadcast, many characters appeared and allowed the development of spin-off series. Thereby, The Boba Fett Book began on December 29, 2021. Another series, titled Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic is currently in preparation. As Ahsoka, centered on the character so important to the animated series The Clone Wars.
In The Mandalorian, it is Rosario Dawson who embodied her in flesh and blood in episode 13 of the series. Her presence made a big enough impression for Disney to offer her a show just for her. Something to delight Star Wars fans since the Jedi, Anakin’s old padawan, is extremely popular with the community.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the Star Wars series
According to Deadline, Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be there! The actress has recently been playing rather muscular roles. After Gemini Man and before breaking faces in kate (on Netflix), we saw her in the DC movie Birds of Prey. She played The Huntress there and crossed paths with Harley Quinn, obviously played by Margot Robbie. Together, and with the help of Black Canary and Renee Montoya, they tackled Black Mask, interpreted for his part by Ewan McGregor. The latter will also be in a Star Wars series since he is reprising his role as Obi Wan Kenobi. Finally, remember that Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Rosario Dawson have already shared scenes together, it was in 2007 in Boulevard of Death.
It is not yet known the role of Mary Elizabeth Winstead and at what point in the Star Wars timeline she will appear. Let us remember, however, that Hayden Christensen will reprise the role of Anakin in the series. So we can imagine the series Ahsoka develop like the Boba Fett book. With a part on the past of the character, and another on the present. Moreover, after its introduction in The Mandalorian, everything suggests that Ahsoka Tano will then track down Thrawn (mentioned in season 2).
Series Ahsoka does not yet have a release date but is in production.
