So far, more than 1.6 million people have seen “Wonderful”, the dramedy by and with Karoline Herfurth, which was released in February 2022, in German cinemas. As the hit film is still showing in various cities, thousands of tickets continue to be sold every week. And even though it’s him has long been available for purchase on Blu-ray, DVD and video-on-demand for the home* – a real phenomenon.
Herfurth has now finally advanced to become one of the most successful local filmmakers. So there is hardly a better time than now to announce their next, fourth work: “Simply something beautiful” is coming to German cinemas nationwide on November 17, 2022.
Karoline Herfurth was – in addition to directing and starring – once again jointly responsible for the screenplay. Monika and Tim Hebborn (“One Million Minutes”) are listed as their co-authors. In front of the camera, the Berliner is again supported by her “beautiful” co-star Nora Tschirner. It is currently still with “Over&Out‘ represented in the cinemas.
In addition, Milena Tscharntke from Netflix’s “The Privilege – The Chosen Ones”, Ulrike Kriener (“Inspector Lucas”), “Unorthodox” star Aaron Altaras, Jasmin Shakeri (“Buba”), Kathrin Angerer (“Gundermann”) and Herbert Knaup mix (“The Salvation of the World We Know”).
Radio presenter Karla (Karoline Herfurth) is approaching 40 hard. That’s why she hears her biological clock ticking every day – and it’s getting louder and clearer. The reason: she wants nothing more than to become a mother. But no matter what she does and who she is dating: there doesn’t seem to be a man far and wide for Karla with whom she could imagine starting a family.
Shortly before she actually has zero for the fourth time, she decides to have a child all by herself. You can do that without a relationship. When she informs her parents (Herbert Knaup, Ulrike Kriener) and her sisters (Milena Tscharntke, Nora Tschirner) of the decision, they react completely differently than she had hoped – namely with incomprehension and sometimes even rejection.
The search for the right time for fertilization is made more difficult by the fact that Karla has a crush on Ole (Aaron Altaras), who is actually far too young for her, just now. The chaos seems to be inevitable…
