Launched a few weeks ago on Netflix, the mini-series “Maid” has met with phenomenal popular success with subscribers of the platform!
In recent weeks, the media buzz around Squid Game could suggest that no other Netflix production is talking about it. And yet, the mini-series Maid (launched on October 3) is also experiencing phenomenal enthusiasm, to the point of being on the verge of surpassing the record audiences of the Lady’s Game in terms of viewings!
The new Netflix production signs one of the best audiences of this end of the year on the platform. While The Lady’s Game is currently the most viewed miniseries of all time on Netflix (62 million views), this record could soon be exceeded by Maid, on track to reach 67 million sessions (unless of course its popularity drops suddenly) (source: Deadline).
Based on the autobiographical work by Stephanie Land, Maid follows a young single mother marked by the past trials of an abusive companion; plagued by financial difficulties, she decides to become a housekeeper. The main role of the series has been entrusted to the young actress Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers), who notably plays the reply to her mother Andie MacDowell.
The entire mini-series Maid (10 episodes) can be found now exclusively on Netflix.
