Apple TV + has just released a new trailer for its sci-fi series Invasion that reunites Sam Neill and Golshifteh Farahani. Aliens come to wreak havoc on Earth.
Invasion, new to Apple TV +, is revealed a little more in the new trailer for the sci-fi series which will be launched on October 22 on the platform with the first three episodes.
This creation by Simon Kinberg – known for his work on the franchise X-Men – and David Weil – the creator of Hunters – takes place across multiple continents as citizens around the world struggle to cope with an invasion, which initially presents itself as various scattered and more manageable issues.
“My fellow citizens of the world, what I have to tell you is not something I was ready to say. As many of you now know, we are suffering from inexplicable and seemingly unrelated incidents ranging from power outages to the destruction of infrastructure and homes.“, says the president in the trailer.
But what were once considered isolated incidents turn out to be related and caused by something that “is not from our Earth“, she continues.
Very quickly, it seems that these events do not constitute the only or the first encounter of certain characters with an extraterrestrial life. The question will be how the characters can ensure their safety and that of those close to them in the face of these immediate threats, while the survival of humanity appears to be at stake.
This sci-fi drama brings together Golshifteh Farahani, Sam Neill, Shamier Anderson (seen earlier this year in The Passenger # 4), Firas Nassar and Shioli Kutsuna. Composed of ten episodes, this season will then be broadcast on a weekly basis on Friday.
