Earlier this month, TJ Miller (“Cloverfield”) guest-starred on Adam Corolla’s show podcast and opened up about his relationship with Ryan Reynolds. According to Miller, this changed extremely after the extreme success of the first “Deadpool” film. During the shooting of “Deadpool 2”, in which TJ Miller was seen again as Weasel, the best friend of Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, Reynolds is said to have been really mean to his sidekick and have shown extremely unpleasant airs and graces . Miller even said he thinks Reynolds hates him.
The tide has since turned, however, and Miller’s statement that he never wants to work with Ryan Reynolds again hasn’t been all that much left. Miller recently visited SiriusXM’s Jim Norton and Sam Roberts and was asked about the Ryan Reynolds thing again. The “Silicon Valley” veteran then explained that Reynolds contacted him about the podcast and the two had a conversation:
“It was a misunderstanding. So I emailed him back and everything is fine now.”
TJ Miller also stated in the interview that he didn’t really think about the impact his statements could have. But he’s also happy that the problems are finally over: “It was very cool of him to say, ‘Hey, you know, I just heard on the show that you were upset with me.’ And I kind of said, ‘You know, it’s not me,’ and then we just sort of sorted it out really quickly.”
By the way, that doesn’t mean that TJ Miller might still be seen in “Deadpool 3” after all, even if things have smoothed out between him and Ryan Reynolds now. A former college classmate has accused Miller of sexually assaulting her. Even if he vehemently denies the allegations, Disney certainly doesn’t want to burn its fingers here. What’s more, Miller is already known to have a difficult personality, as confirmed by his Silicon Valley co-star Alice Wetterlund, who described him as a “cruel” and “short-tempered brat.”
