With “Barbie” a film will be released in summer 2023 that we at DashFUN are very curious about – and we are not alone in that. Because the film, directed by “Little Women” director Greta Gerwig and written together with her husband Noah Baumbach (“Marriage Story”), will apparently be a brightly colored, crazy and self-ironic game with the “Barbie” brand.
And we’re just assuming Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling have great chemistry starring as Barbie and Ken, given the fact that the two superstars are set to direct their next movie together is a testament to that.
As first in the well-informed newsletter puck was to be read, but has now also been confirmed by the major US industry magazines, Ryan Gosling is in talks to star opposite Margot Robbie in the new ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ movie.
There is not much information about the new “Ocean’s” yet, but it will apparently be a remake or reboot of the series, with no close ties to Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Ocean’s Thirteen, or the spin-off Ocean’s 8. Much more one thinks back to the original “Ocean’s Elven” aka “Frankie and his cronies” from the year 1960. Because the action of the new “Ocean’s 11” is also set to take place in the 1960s – and in Europe.
If Ryan Gosling’s not-yet-certain but highly likely signing is any indication, the latest installment stays true to a tradition in the Ocean’s series, starring some of the biggest and most well-known stars in Hollywood . We’re excited to see who else will be honored alongside Robbie and Gosling.
The Ocean’s Eleven reboot is directed by Jay Roach, who portrayed Robbie in Bombshell. The screenplay is by newcomer Carrie Solomon. Filming is slated to begin in spring 2023, but it still needs a full cast and script before Studio Warner gives the green light. If everything goes as planned, “Ocean’s Eleven” could hit theaters in 2024.
However, the start date of “Barbie“, which is also produced by Warner and will be released in German cinemas on July 20, 2023.
