Sandrine Kiberlain goes behind the camera
We know Sandrine Kiberlain as an actress. In the cinema, she made her first appearances in the mid-1980s. Then in the 1990s she toured under the direction of Jean-Paul Rappeneau (Cyrano), Eric Rochant (The Patriots) or Edouard Molinaro (Beaumarchais, the insolent). More recently, we could see her in The Two Alfreds by Bruno Podalydès or in She adores it alongside Laurent Lafitte, without forgetting 9 months firm which earned him the César for best actress in 2014. And for the first time, the actress will go behind the camera to his first feature film A young girl who is doing well – she has already directed the short film Good figure in 2016.
Here is the synopsis of her film: Irène, a young Jewish girl, saw the momentum of her 19 years in Paris, the summer of 1942. Her family watched her discover the world, her friendships, her new love, her passion for the theater… Irene wants to become an actress and her days are linked in the carelessness of her youth.
The Rebecca Marder revelation?
A first trailer has been unveiled by the distributor Ad Vitam. The first thing that stands out is the presence of Rebecca marder. The actress, resident of the Comédie-Française, illuminates each of the shots in this video. It naturally brings a form of lightness to the film despite the dramatic period in which the film takes place. A young girl who is doing well therefore does not appear so much as a historical drama but more as a a film about youth and coming of age.
With this first role, the actress could well reveal herself. At his side, we find another name that is rising more and more in French cinema: Anthony Bajon. Note also the presence of André Marcon, India Hair and Ben Attal. The film will be released in theaters on January 26, 2022.
