SQUID GAME SEASON 2. The creator of the Squid Game series has confirmed that a season 2 of the Netflix phenomenon will soon see the light of day. What we know.
[Mis à jour le 9 novembre 2021 à 15h22] The fans were impatiently awaiting the confirmation, it is now done: Squid Game will have a season 2 , confirmed the creator, screenwriter and director of the Netflix phenomenon series. In an interview relayed on social media by production company AP Entertainment, Hwang Dong-hyuk had the following words: “There has been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a season 2 to see by day. So I almost have the impression that we have no choice! There will be a season 2 “.
In this video, the creator tells more about Squid Game season 2, explaining that the storyline was clear in his head and that he is currently thinking about the schedule for it to see the light of day. However, Hwang Dong-hyuk is yet to move forward on a release date, most certainly on Netflix, believing that it is “still too early to say when and how it will unfold”. If he does not say more, however, we know that this sequel will see the return of Gi-hun, the protagonist, and that he “will act for the world”.
Season 2 of Squid Game was officially confirmed by AP Entertainment on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. But when will Netflix subscribers be able to discover it? For the time being, no date has been communicated for this sequel. Indeed, the creator of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, explained that it was “still too early to say when and how it will unfold”, not preferring to decide on a specific date. Note, however, that season 1 of Squid Game took nearly 10 years to see the light of day, due to the many difficulties encountered by the director and screenwriter which prevented him from making his series project a reality (refusal of the producers, precariousness, crisis sanitary facilities …). Normally, and we hope, season 2 of Squid Game should take less time to be released on streaming platforms!
