Developed by a French studio, “A Plague Tale: Innocence” retraced the poignant journey of two children in a kingdom of France ravaged by the plague in the 14th century. A brilliant game, which will therefore have a sequel, “A Plague Tale – Requiem”. Pictures!

Small flashback sequence. Released in May 2019, after having timidly revealed itself, sparingly, since 2017, A Plague Tale was a masterpiece orchestrated by the French studio Asobo, based in Bordeaux.
Cruel tale against the backdrop of a kingdom of France ravaged by the Black Death in 1348, but also by the Hundred Years War leaving a bloodless country, A Plague Tale: Innocence followed the painful destiny of a duo of children from nobility. Amicia de Rune, 15, and her puny younger brother Hugo, 5, who suffered from a strange ailment.
Driven by an extraordinary artistic direction, often astonishingly beautiful, who could easily hold out on productions with twenty times higher budgets, benefiting from a hypnotic and sublime soundtrack by composer Olivier Derivière, who signed one of his most beautiful scores, to say that A Plague Tale: Innocence left a lasting impression on the player’s retina and heart.
Announced at E3 (virtual) last June, A Plague Tale – Requiem is the continuation of the (mis) adventures of the two orphans. Fleeing their painful past, Amicia and her brother travel south, to distant lands and their merchant cities. They try to make a fresh start and control Hugo’s curse. But when Hugo’s powers reappear, death and destruction descend in a shattering deluge of rats. Forced to flee, they place their hopes on an enigmatic island that could be the key to Hugo’s salvation.
We let you discover below the new trailer of the game, punctuated by the lines of the poem “Requiem” by Robert Louis Stevenson, confirming in passing that the artistic direction should be as sumptuous as the first game.
A Plague Tale – Requiem is expected in 2022 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, PC, and in Cloud version on Nintendo Switch.
