The evolution of consumption habits has meant that the “tradition” of Black Friday, however meaningless in Europe, has gradually imposed itself in Europe. The brands are now looking to take this opportunity to kick off the holiday season rush on this side of the Atlantic as well. The Nintendo Switch offer in question today is another illustration of this.
Nintendo has just announced the marketing in Europe of a Nintendo Switch pack for Black Friday. This pack, originally announced in North America, is for the standard Nintendo Switch model. But not only. Indeed, this pack includes a standard Nintendo Switch (with red and blue Joy-Cons) as well as a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
A safe bet in this Nintendo Switch pack
As logic dictates, the Nintendo service subscription is offered in the form of a code. And it seems important to specify that this is also the case for the copy of the game. Players who do not yet have a Switch and who are interested in a physical version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will therefore have to manage otherwise.
FYI, the Switch alone is offered by Amazon at a price of 269 euros. And on the eShop, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is sold for 59.99 euros. The 3-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription costs 7.99 euros. Players who do not have a problem with playing dematerialized can therefore save several tens of euros.
As for the price of this pack, the prices vary slightly from one reseller to another. Micromania offers it at 269.99 euros. Leclerc sells it for 267.25 euros. Amazon the list too and displays it at 271.99 euros.
The Switch again star of Black Friday and Christmas?
It remains to be seen how long this offer will be available. Nintendo has previously indicated that they are unable to produce as many Switchs as they want due to the shortage of components. The Kyoto firm explained that it had taken measures to regularly put machines on the market for the holiday season.
According to the president of Nintendo of America, the margin will not be huge, however. In a recent interview, Doug Bowser even went so far as to tell those interested “if you see it buy it. “According to him, availability at a time T does not mean that the console will be constantly on the shelves over the coming weeks.
The popularity of the Nintendo Switch is not waning. The console is sure to be a Christmas flagship again. While Nintendo can congratulate itself on this as Black Friday approaches, these shortages are clearly not doing its business.
