If a certain Sonic will celebrate his thirtieth birthday late, Capcom seems determined to celebrate as it should be the 35 years of the legendary Street Fighter saga.

Get ready to take a shot of old in the form of an uppercut: this summer, it will be 35 years since Street Fighter, the first of the name, landed in Japanese arcades, with its big press studs that will not be remained in history. The sequel, you know it: on the occasion of a sequel that was once considered as that of a certain Final Fight, the world of versus fighting and video games was forever transformed.

Quarter century before + HP

While waiting to find out what the Osaka firm has in store for us to properly celebrate one of its most famous (and juicy) licenses, the communication begins with an anniversary logoand what we hope will be a proper teasing:

Street Fighter 35th Anniversary

Street Fighter will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2022! With your support, we have created a logo to make this anniversary exciting.

We hope you look forward to further development of the series!

Street Fighter, Luke Edition?

The mystery therefore hangs over what awaits the confident pugilists, even if Producer Shuhei Matsumoto took advantage of the ultimate DLC brought to Street Fighter V to suggest that the year 2022 will be beautiful:

The entire development team will use their experience as a springboard to move on to the next project! We look forward to sharing more information with you next year!

If Street Fighter VI there were to be, it would probably be with Luke’s presence in the casting, but without the participation of famous executive producer Yoshinori Ono, who was flying to other horizons in 2020. Let us recall that in 2017, Capcom took advantage of the 30th anniversary of the saga to skillfully offer a certain Ultra Street Fighter II, and the 30th Anniversary Collection compilation was a reminder of the illustrious progress made the following year.

What do you hope to discover for the series’ 35th anniversary? Is Street Fighter VI Time Now? Let us know your wishes without canceling in the comments below!
