While waiting to find out what the future of the series will be like, Ubisoft keeps its word by once again extending the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla adventure, and rather twice.
French had given us an appointment to unveil the rest of the program, and adventurers will have plenty to do: in addition to announcing a crossover between Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the ancient Odyssey episode as of Tuesday, December 14, and a very substantial DLC for next March .
The crossroads
Update 1.4.1 of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is therefore accompanied by an episode, Récits Croisés (or Crossover Stories with our friends from across the Channel), “the first crossover between two episodes of the series”. History not to offend anyone, each of the two games therefore offers an additional story featuring one or the other heroine: Kassandra thus invites himself in the England of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Eivor in the Ancient Greece of Odyssey. CQFD.
In order to play the synergy card, the Odyssey episode will be playable for free on the Ubisoft store from December 16 to 19, which may give you time to complete the first chapter of the story, a necessary prerequisite to unlock the additional story alongside Eivor.
Divine 35 hours
But the best is yet to come, as Ubisoft also (and above all) announces the arrival of the Dawn of Ragnarök DLC for March 10, 2022, a relatively Dantesque expansion, even though the main adventure offered just as substantial content.
With a script pirouette, and a few sips of an intoxicating potion, Eivor will dream of himself as Odin, to travel a whole new kingdom to rescue Baldr, his divine offspring. The evolution is ultimately not surprising for players who have completed the campaign of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, especially since Ubisoft had already ogled the divine through the DLC of the Origins and Odyssey episodes. To repel the invasion of the kingdom of Svartalfheim, Odin will use his new powers:
Absorb new abilities on your victims and use them to eliminate anyone who stands in front of you. Transform into a raven for spectacular assassinations or revive defeated enemies to fight alongside you. Turn your skin into magma for protection, instill ice in your weapon for devastating blows and more.

Entrusted to Ubisoft Sofia, Dawn of Ragnarök should extend the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experience for about 35 hours (!), And thus become the largest DLC of the entire license. If the desire to enjoy divine attributes suits you, remember that this extension (obviously paid) is expected for March 10, 2022 on PC, Google Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
The problem is that this brand new chapter will not be included in the Season Pass already offered by Ubisoft, and the curious will have to put their hand in the wallet. In view of the plans for the future of the series, this is not reassuring …
