Mario does not age

Mario is perhaps the most famous video game character. Whether or not you are a fan of video games, you have necessarily already come across this little mustachioed man in blue overalls. It is now an element rooted in popular culture and continues to appear through new games.

Its first appearance dates back to 1981 with the game donkey kong. Then he was at the center of mario Bros in 1983, before the start the saga Super Mario Bros in 1985. As in all games, you have to save Princess Peach from the terrible Bowser. For this it is necessary to travel through several worlds, to face carnivorous plants, to avoid turtles and not to fall into the various traps.

Given the franchise’s success over all these years, Hollywood had to get a hold of it. It happened unfortunately in 1993 with the live movie Super Mario Bros, worn by Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Samantha Mathis and Dennis Hopper. A real nanar which is appreciated today with a lot of second degree.

Thirty years later, Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment will try to make us forget this feature film with the Animation Film Super Mario Bros. A cartoon that should allow fidelity to the original work. At least that’s the feeling we have before the first trailer unveiled (in one article).

The universe of the saga is very respected and the animation is magnificent.

As a reminder, the American voices of Super Mario Bros are provided by Chris Pratt in MarioCharlie Day as Luigi, whileAnya Taylor-Joy is none other than Princess Peach.

With them are added Jack Black as Bowser and Seth Rogen in Donkey Kong. Scheduled for the end of 2022, the film will finally be released on screens on March 29, 2023.
