That’s it, after years of waiting, the Halo Infinite campaign is finally here. If 343 Industries has not yet added to the game everything it intends to integrate in the long term, the story mode of the game can be crossed from A to Z. And to avoid players having a bad surprise, the studio Microsoft has just warned them about using one of the features of the new Xbox consoles.
343 Industries currently advises against Xbox Series S | X gamers using the Quick Resume feature when playing games. Halo Infinite. Indeed, a bug related to the latter prevents the use in the multiplayer cosmetic elements unlocked in the campaign. This recommendation was shared on Twitter by Brian Jarrard, the community director of 343 Industries:
When playing the Halo Infinite campaign, you will come across armor cabinets. These contain cosmetic items for your Multiplayer Spartan. If you are offline or disconnected from services, which can happen after a Quick Resume, these cosmetics will not appear in your multiplayer inventory.
The team is aware of the problem and will eventually come up with a retroactive fix. You will get the cosmetics you unlocked. I recommend not continuing a session through Quick Resume at this time. And make sure you’re online before you set off to explore Zeta Halo. Thank you !
How does the Quick Resume work?
As a reminder, the Quick Resume is a feature of the Xbox Series S | X allowing you to leave several games on hold. It allows players to put one game aside for another and later pick up exactly where it left off. Last year, we also presented the Quick Resume in our dossier dedicated to the Xbox Series X.
The catch is that multiplayer games or games that require a network connection disconnect when put on hold. This can therefore pose a problem with titles still online like Halo Infinite. Fortunately for Halo fans, 343 industries are already working on a solution.
Halo Infinite in progress
Finally, remember that this problem is not the only one encountered by the Halo Infinite campaign. Indeed, players do not currently have the opportunity to replay at leisure the main missions of the campaign. Something that was possible in all the previous episodes of the series. Again, 343 promises to add this feature soon.
As noted in our review of the game, Halo Infinite was released without the ability to campaign co-op as well as without Forge mode. These elements should be integrated into the game within a few months.
How do you feel about this situation with regard to the Quick Resume and Halo Infinite? Does she surprise you? What are your first impressions of the game? Would you rather wait for Microsoft to add the missing modes and features before you jump in? Tell us all in the comments below.
